About Alice

Alice is a mature aged psychologist with diverse experience working with people across the lifespan. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, she works with adults from all walks of life as they navigate life transitions and mental health experiences of depression, anxiety, panic disorders, and grief. Alice has a particular interest in working with trauma and untangling its long-term impacts.  She has a deep understanding of neurodivergence and takes an affirming, strengths-based approach to empower neurodivergent individuals.

Alice now works exclusively with adults, however, offers psychoeducation and tailored strategies to parents and carers, facilitating developmentally appropriate support for children in their care. This work is based on her deep understanding of developmental trauma and childhood presentations of anxiety, depression, and OCD.  Her skills and knowledge were developed through working with families in the child protection system as well as in private practice, along with extensive training in child psychology.

Approachable and empathic, Alice uses collaborative, strength-based modalities tailored to each client’s specific needs, providing compassionate, non-judgemental understanding in a supportive environment.

Her work is strengths-based and trauma informed, incorporating attachment theory, establishing a basis for understanding behaviours and thoughts. She helps clients build understanding of how experiences and beliefs about themselves impact their day-to-day lives and relationships, empowering clients to make positive changes of their choosing.

Alice is committed to, and enjoys, ongoing professional development and research to deepen her knowledge base and skillset.  With initial training in CBT, she now integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each client, her toolbox includes:  Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation, Relaxation Training, Sensory Processing Strategies, Skills Training, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma Focussed CBT (TF-CBT)
